Ajijic, Mexico 2014

Suzy’s house from February 14 to 28, 2014.

Ajijic has a very inter-twined ex-pat community.  One of the reason’s Suzy chose us to look after her home and her two beloved bedlington terriers was because we used Collette as a reference and of course Suzy knew Collette and could speak to her directly   about us.  This was a two week stay during the winter of 2014.
Suzy’s home was more modest but very comfortable.  We spent a lot of time in her back garden.  The dogs were clever and obedient.  They required a bit of TLC….home made dog food and eye-cleaning.
During our stay Susie’s washing machine died mid-cycle.  We contacted her immediately via email.  She advised us of a local repairman who had fixed the machine once before.  We walked to his shop and he was at the house the next morning.  He fixed the machine.  When Suzy returned she insisted on paying us for the repair.  We felt we wanted to pay as it had failed on our watch but she said she knew the machine was finicky and we relented and felt extremely fairly treated.
Suzy too, kept on her maid and gardner during our stay so our duties were all about the Bedlingtons.
